Cummins helps XCMG excavators define green mining super equipment

Recently, a new product tasting meeting of XCMG's XE650GK HEV hybrid mining excavator was held in Guiyang. During the meeting, XCMG held a cooperation signing ceremony with strategic customers in the southwest region. More than 100 large-tonnage excavators equipped with Cummins heavy-duty engines will be delivered to customers one after another, including the XE650GK HEV equipped with Cummins' 563kW QSM15 high-power engine, 70-ton and 75-ton excavators, and 60-ton excavators equipped with Cummins QSX12 engines.

XE650GK HEV is the world's first hybrid mining excavator launched by XCMG. It is equipped with Cummins QSM15 high-power engine, showing excellent economic value and ecological effects. It is another masterpiece of in-depth cooperation and collaborative research and development between Cummins, XCMG excavators and other industrial chain companies. Since it rolled off the production line, the XE650GK HEV has been tested by the market for a long time. From the Saibei Plateau to the hinterland of western Sichuan, from the mountains of Guizhou to the land of Guangxi, it has been shuttling between mining construction sites in various places. It is highly productive and efficient, energy-saving and fuel-efficient, stable and reliable, and highly meets the needs of large-scale, high-intensity green mining operations.

Cummins QSM15 engine has many cutting-edge technologies such as high explosion pressure in cylinder, ultra-high pressure injection fuel system, intelligent thermal management, etc., and is a new benchmark for high efficiency and fuel saving. Through the collaborative development with XCMG excavator, deep optimization and integration have been achieved, allowing the advantages of fuel power and new energy technology to be fully integrated and demonstrated, creating a cutting-edge demonstration scene for mining hybrid. Compared with fuel equipment of the same level, XE650GK HEV can save 200,000 to 300,000 yuan in fuel per year.
